The vas promoter drives expression of an "α-Tub 5'UTR-Venus protein-α-Tub 3'UTR" reporter in which 2x UGCAUG synthetic elements (to which Rbfox1 binds) and 1x UGCAUA synthetic element (to which Rbfox1 does not bind) are embedded in the 3'UTR.
