      Expression of pavDEAD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-m6, under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16, during cycles 14-16 of the cellularized embryo leads to two possible outcomes. In the less severe outcome, cells initiate but fail to complete cytokinesis, leaving daughter cells connected by a microtubule bridge. In the more severe outcome, cells fail to even initiate cytokinesis, which leads to failure of the cleavage furrow.
