sensory neuron & dorsal mesothoracic disc, with Scer\GAL4bbg-C96
wing margin & sensory neuron, with Scer\GAL4bbg-C96
Expression of brZ1.Scer\UAS in the wing disc under the control of Scer\GAL4C96 induces precocious sensory neuron development in approximately 97.5% of cases. In about 15% of the discs, one or two neurons differentiate in the posterior margin, which is normally devoid of sensory neurons.
Approximately 99% of animals expressing brZ1.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4P0206 remain as first instar larvae.
Expression of brZ1.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4P0206 causes partial degeneration of the prothoracic gland portion of the ring gland by 24 hours after hatching and disappearance by 35 hours after hatching.
