High expression of twy^KK104108 under the control of Scer\GAL4^VP16.bam (i.e. by rearing individuals at 28[o]C) leads to male sterility; the seminal vesicle appears empty and no motile sperm is observed; there are fewer intact individualization complexes and waste bags at the apical ends of the testes, actin cones are frequently scattered and the flagella around the cystic bulge tends to be more disorganized. Adults show decreased climbing ability.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^sca.PU results in uncoordinated adults, without climbing ability.
