UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a mutated form of salm in which the IKEE sumoylation motif (K in this motif is amino acid residue 641) is mutated to IKDP. The protein is tagged at the N-terminal end with ECFP.

      Expression of salmIKDP.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-ECFP under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv results in some ectopic wing vein material in the L2-L3 intervein region and some reduction in wing size (the phenotype is milder than that caused by expression of salmScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-ECFP under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv).
