Detailed Description

Mul1A6/Mul1A6 adult flies have an increased duration of total activity but similar daytime and nighttime sleep compared to controls. Under constant dark conditions, flies display a longer period of locomotor activity rhythm.

Homozygous flies have slightly elongated mitochondria in the indirect flight muscles compared to wild type.

The degree of thoracic indentation seen in park25 Mul1A6 is much more severe than that seen in park25 single mutants. The thoracic indentation phenotype of park25 Mul1A6 double mutants is almost completely suppressed by expression of MarfmiRNA.cUa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified.

The indirect flight muscles of park25 Mul1A6 mutants have highly elongated and interconnected mitochondria. This phenotype can be suppressed by expression of MarfmiRNA.cUa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified.

The degree of thoracic indentation seen in Pink15 Mul1A6 is much more severe than that seen in Pink15 single mutants.

The indirect flight muscles of Pink15 Mul1A6 mutants have highly elongated and interconnected mitochondria.
