The expression of RelVDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 blocks the normal inflammatory response to Gram-negative (assessed by the expression levels of Diptericin) bacterial infection, but has no effect under basal, non-infected conditions, as compared to controls.
Bacterial injection in the head leads to neurodegeneration in fly brains (compared to control sterile injections) and locomotion defects at 25 days old; these phenotypes are suppressed by expression of RelVDRC.cUa driven by Scer\GAL4repo.PU or Scer\GAL4elav.PU.
RelVDRC.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU is a non-suppressor of abnormal neuroanatomy | adult stage | progressive phenotype of DefUAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU
RelVDRC.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU is a non-suppressor of abnormal neuroanatomy | adult stage | progressive phenotype of DrsUAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU
RelVDRC.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU is a non-suppressor of adult brain | adult stage | progressive phenotype of DefUAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU
RelVDRC.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU is a non-suppressor of adult brain | adult stage | progressive phenotype of DrsUAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4repo.PU
Co-expression of RelVDRC.cUa does not suppress age-dependent neurodegeneration in fly brains with DefScer\UAS.cUa or DrsScer\UAS.cUa driven by Scer\GAL4repo.PU.
