      Pfdn2Δ17 third instar larvae show ectopic neuroblasts in third instar larval brains and an increase in the number of cells in S-phase (assessed by EdU labelling).

      Pfdn2Δ17/Pfdn2Δ17 neuroblast (both type I and type II lineages) somatic MARCM clones generate excess neuroblast cells.
