Expressing Diedel^UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4^Act88F.1.3 leads to a significantly lower increase in mitosis in the adult midgut during aging or in response to Ecc15 bacterial infection, as compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4^Cg.PA-driven expression blocks the Ecc15 bacterial infection-induced increase in mitosis in the adult midgut normally observed in controls.
