      Expression of smashPM.UAS.GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL results in cuticle defects in some embryos, including anterior and dorsal holes.

      Expression of smashPM.UAS.GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in follicular epithelial cell clones, induced by 10-minute heat shock, causes reduction of the apical perimeter and apical surface area of these cells, compared to control cells; these measurements are unaffected in adjacent non-expressing cells.

      Expression of smashPM.UAS.GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS causes a significant reduction of the tracheal lumen diameter in the embryo, compared to controls.
