General Information
Term adult olfactory receptor neuron Or65 ID (Ontology) FBbt:00067011 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or65a, Or65b and Or65c (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from an antennal trichoid sensillum at4 (Couto et al., 2005; Grabe et al., 2016) that houses three neurons (Gonzales et al., 2021). It responds to the male pheromone cis-vaccenyl acetate (cVA) (van der Goes et al., 2007). Its axon innervates antennal lobe glomerulus DL3, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). It expresses sNPF (Carlsson et al., 2010). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025).
