General Information
Term imaginal disc-derived wing hair organization ID (Ontology) GO:0035317 (Gene Ontology)
Definition A process that is carried out at the cellular level that results in the assembly, arrangement of constituent parts, or disassembly of an imaginal disc-derived wing hair. A wing hair is an actin-rich, polarized, non-sensory apical projection that protrudes from each of the approximately 30,000 wing epithelial cells. An example of this is found in Drosophila melanogaster.[ PubMed:11064425 PubMed:12540853 ]
