General Information
Term macropinosomal membrane permeabilization involved in viral entry into host cell ID (Ontology) GO:0075504 (Gene Ontology)
Definition Induction of macropinosome membrane permeabilization triggered by an interaction between the host membrane and a membrane-penetration protein associated with the capsid. Occurs after internalization of the virus in a macropinosome, and results in release of the viral contents from the macropinosome into the host cell cytoplasm.
