      Mutant males show defects in meiosis. Chromosome bridges, delayed anaphase chromosomes, chromosome fragments, chromosome nondisjunction and polyploid spermatids at the bulb stage are seen.

      Mutants show defects in mitosis including formation of chromatin bridges, chromosome nondisjunction in anaphase, formation of monopolar spindles in anaphase, the presence of polyploid cells and prolonged telophase.
