I was wondering if you could help in updating
flybase's database on CG15329. Our better descriptive
name is going to be hold'em. We have 3 alleles of
hold'em. One, g7, which you have already entered into
the database and two others called g6 and g8. Thank

is needed.

It is certainly fine to have hold'em as the full name for the CG15329
gene, though it would be better to have a short symbol that is shorter,
and does not include the '.
Here are three suggestions, none of which have been used for any other
gene
hdm (my favorite, on the grounds of brevity)
hldm
hodm
I hope you like one of these. Let me know and I'll make the change,
and make allele records for g6 and g8 too.
