Description

UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of two copies of a 1.7kb fragment corresponding to nucleotides +619 to +2327 of Nop60B (coordinates according to AF097634) which are arranged in an inverted repeat with a 200bp spacer between the two copies of Nop60B sequence.

      Expression of Nop60Bsp.dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI results in late-larval or pupal lethality. Expression of Nop60Bsp.dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in a nearly total depletion of bristles within a region that is centered around the dorsal midline and which extends slightly beyond the domain of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression. A cleft is sometimes seen in the middle of the thorax in these flies.
