Description

The nos promoter and 5' UTR is fused upstream of sequences encoding the C-terminal 368 amino acids of tud and the fs(1)K10 3' UTR. The tud sequence is tagged at the N-terminal end with Tag:HA.

tudΔ2.nos.T:Ivir\HA1 partially rescues the abdominal defects seen in embryos derived from tud1/Df(2R)PurP133a females; 18.5% of the rescued embryos have 8 wild-type abdominal segments, 21.1% have 0-2 abdominal segments, 19.4% have 3-5 abdominal segments and 41.0% have 6-8 abdominal segments (but with one segment reduced in size if 8 segments are present).

tudΔ2.nos.T:Ivir\HA1 does not rescue germ cell formation in embryos derived from tud1, tudB42 or tudB45 females.
