UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of SkeletorKK115494 under the control of Scer\GAL4Abd-B.D1 results in aberrant morphology of the secondary cells in male accessory glands, although the phenotype is only partially penetrant. Wild-type mates of these knock-down males lay fewer eggs and display defects in post-mating receptivity suppression - the females become receptive for re-mating sooner (by 4 days after start of mating) than when mated with wild-type males.
