Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of the t-αBgtx tethered toxin, which can be used as a cell-autonomous inhibitor of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (and hence neuronal cell) activity. The protein is tagged with two copies of Tag:MYC.

      Larvae expressing Bmul\αBgtxScer\UAS.cKa in all clock neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE are blind. In contrast, larvae expressing Bmul\αBgtxScer\UAS.cKa in only the lateral neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, do not differ from controls.
