UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Expression of trblHMS02198 in the fat body under the control of Scer\GAL4ppl.PP results in a significant increase in both larval weight and fat body cell size relative to controls. Pupariation is advanced compared with controls. Circulating glucose and trehalose levels are similar to controls but there is a significant increase in total triglyceride levels.
Females heterozygous for trblHMS02198 and Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 crossed to trblHMS02198 males results in: 69% hatching; non-maternal effect.
