      Many flies expressing Hsap\APP695.Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4T80 die soon after eclosion as a result of becoming trapped in the food and show defective cuticle secretion. The wings are not fully extended and blistering is sometimes seen, while the legs are malformed and abnormally weak.

      Expression of Hsap\APP695.Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in wing malformation with the anterior and posterior edges of the wing curling up towards the dorsal side. Blistered wings are occasionally seen.
