UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of α-Cat that lacks part of the M region (amino acid residues 1-509 and 635-917 are present), tagged at the C-terminal end with Tag:HA. The α-Cat sequence has been modified to render it resistant to RNAi by either P{UAS-α-Cat.RNAi.1} (5'-ATGTTAAAA-3' changed to 5'-ATGCTGAAG-3' at the start of the coding region) or P{TRiP.HMS00317} (5'-GCAGCATCGATATTGACTGTT-3' changed to 5'-GCCGCCTCCATCCTGACCGTG-3' in the M2 domain).
