Expression of Scer\GAL4[c584] is seen in a cluster of dorsolateral neurons posterior to the fan shaped body in each hemisphere.
Adult expression is observed in a cluster of five or six tangential large field neurons with cell bodies located in the dorso-caudal cellular cortex lateral to the calyx of the mushroom body. The axons of these neurons arborize in the rostro-dorsal protocerebrum, near the tip of the α'-lobe of the mushroom body, and dorsally in the fan-shaped body. Additional expression is observed in the antennal nerve, in a few neurons in the antennal lobe, and faintly in the anterior part of the ellipsoid body, as well as in three or four neurons in the pars intercerbralis projecting to the anterior median bundle.
In third instar larva, expressed in discrete groups of cells in the posterior segment of the ventral ganglion; expressed in a small number of patches in the wing disc and the haltere disc.
