Term nephrocyte diaphragm ID (Ontology) GO:0005917 (Gene Ontology)
Definition A specialized cell-cell junction found between nephrocytes of the insect kidney, which is adapted for filtration of hemolymph. The insect nephrocyte is anatomically and functionally similar to the glomerular podocyte of vertebrates.[ PubMed:18971929 ]
