Construct: First 455 amino acids of tor, containing the signal peptide, extracellular domain with a single amino acid replacement and transmembrane peptide, are fused to amino acids 2-501 of pll, containing the intracellular domain.
When RNA is injected into embryos from pll7 mothers, filzkorper and ventral denticles are produced, though the cuticle pattern is not restored to wild type. Number and width of denticles is aberrant and holes are sometimes present.
Carried in plasmid "tor4021pll" and used in transient expression assays in embryos.
Ventralising gain of function allele of pll.
Carried in plasmid "tor4021-pll", used to generate RNA for microinjection studies.
