When injected into embryos from snk¹/snk² mothers, filzkorper and ventral denticles show 64% rescue.

When RNA is injected into embryos from pll⁷ mothers, filzkorper and ventral denticles are produced, though the cuticle pattern is not restored to wild type. Number and width of denticles is aberrant and holes are sometimes present.
