Usp3602331 dominantly suppresses position effect variegation of eye color due to In(1)wm4h/+.

The half life of follicle stem cells in Usp3602331 homozygous clones significantly reduced compared to wild-type. But mutant follicle cells develop normally.

In Usp36f01742/Usp3602331 adults, intestinal stem cells are present at near normal numbers at eclosion but are rapidly lost so that few are left by 7 days post eclosion. This phenotype is partially suppressed by the addition of 8mM DAPT (a gamma-secretase inhibitor) to the food. Unlike wild-type adults, mutants treated with DAPT do not form tumors.

The number of female germline stem cells in the germaria of Usp36d06513/Usp3602331 adult females is reduced compared to wild-type.

The half life of female germline stem cells in Usp3602331 somatic clones is sharply reduced compared to wild-type.

scny02331/scnyroo males and females are sterile, with tiny gonads.
