      Knockdown of Lst in corpora cardiaca cells (via Scer\GAL4Akh.PG-mediated expression of LstGD13891), but not in the fat body (via Scer\GAL4ppl.PU), results in hypoglycemia and obesity (increased triglyceride content).

      Adults expressing LstGD13891 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
