Expressing DNApol-γ35^HMC02394 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Cg.PA leads to swollen mitochondria in the third instar larval fat body (as assessed by MitoGFP).

Expression of DNApol-γ35^HMC02394 under the control of Scer\GAL4^{bam.T:Hsim\VP16} severely disrupts early spermatogenesis, the spermatids do not develop beyond the onset of elongation but display abortive morphological defects instead.
