Statement

Stage 14-16 mutant embryos do not show an increase in mislocalisation of primordial germ cells compared to wild type.
One copy of Cerk[BG01100] suppresses the maternal effect lethality caused by expression of wntD[Scer\UAS.P\T.cEa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Act.PU]. Maternal and zygotic double mutant Mulk[LL03414] ; Cerk[BG01100] embryos have an increased average number of mislocalised primordial germ cells compared to wild type at stages 14-16. This phenotype is not seen in either single mutant, or in Mulk[LL03414]/+ ; Cerk[BG01100] mutant embryos carrying a single paternally inherited copy of Mulk[+].
