    Homozygotes have uneven eye pigmentation in a z1 w11E4 background; the anterior of the eye is brown and the posterior of the eye is yellow. Heterozygotes have a yellowish red eye colour in a z1 w11E4 background. Heterozygotes and homozygotes show wild-type pigmentation of the Malpighian tubules and testis sheaths in a z+ w11E4 or z1 w11E4 background.
