    Selected on basis of variegating position-effect on bw+t30 in P{bw+1111}65Fx2. Position-effect was confirmed by mobilization of P{bw+1111}65Fx2 to new sites with concomitant restoration of uniform pigmentation. Trans-inactivation was observed of P{bw+1111}65Fx2 but had no detectable effect on any other ectopic bw+t8.4 or bw+t30 copy. Recessive lethal or semilethal.
