    Wing vein defects and defective organisation of the eye facets are seen at low frequency in homozygotes.

    Homozygous viable. Homozygotes and heterozygotes with Df(1)HkSK1 show no defects in optomotor behaviour. Less than 5% of the embryos display pathfinding errors within the PNS of the intersegmental nerve and abnormal cluster of sensory organs can be found. Homozygous adults display incomplete wing veins L2, L4 and L5, eyes display imperfectly aligned ommatidia and extra bristles.
