    Df(1)y-ac-22 males have significantly reduced mating success compared to control males. The Dp(1;f)1187 minichromosome rescues the mating success of these mutants. Df(1)y-ac-22 adults lack pigmentation throughout the body, the wings, bristles, aristae and tarsal claws. The sex combs of Df(1)y-ac-22 males have a lighter colour than wild type.
