Comments

Coordinate determined from BLAST of reported sequence at breakpoint.

Deletion of part of Cep135 and CG13458 resulting from FLP-catalyzed recombination using the FRT-containing transposons PBac{WH}CG13458f03792 and PBac{WH}CG16959f01951.

Df(3L)Cep135ΔN mutant neuroblasts show symmetric centrosome behavior at interphase; in wild type one apical microtubule organizing center (MTOC) is seen whereas in Df(3L)Cep135ΔN two centromeres of similar size and MTOC activity are observed close together on the apical cortex. The two centrosomes progressively separate from each other until they reach their respective positions on the apical and basal cortex by propmetaphase. Neuroblasts mutant for Df(3L)Cep135ΔN also show mitotic spindle defects such as monopolar and tripolar spindles.
