Deletion of an approximately 15 kb region comprising the first coding exons of the Ly6-related genes CG7781 and witty (and the entire CG14275 locus that lies between them), and which also deletes the four BMP-activating (BMP-AE) elements in the region. The endogenous region is replaced with an attP and loxP site.
