Flies have abnormal abdomens, with defects ranging from extreme deformation of the tergites to slight abnormalities in the distribution of pigment and/or microchaetae. Eyes are deformed to various degrees, ranging from gross alteration in shape to slight derangement of the ommatidia. Wings show various defects, including gross alteration in size and venation, and small incisions of the inner margin. Males are viable but have much reduced fertility.
