      Gonads atrophic either unilaterally or bilaterally owing to pole cell degeneration. Degree of effect correlated with both temperature during the first hours of development and with the number of agq1-derived autosomes. Pole cells, but not oocytes, thermosensitive. Responses of right and left gonads correlated. Penetrance higher in females than males.
