Detailed Description

Wings are cut along both sides in heterozygous females, and usually have one large blister in the centre. Homozygous females have badly crumpled and blistered wings, which are sometimes poorly developed. The wings of males are similar to those of heterozygous females, although many fall between the heterozygous and homozygous female phenotypes.

In At1/+ females, wings incised medially and laterally, usually have one large central blister. Homozygous females have badly crumpled, blistered and sometimes poorly developed wings. Wings of At1 males tend to be more like those of At1/+ females, although many fall somewhere between At1/+ and At1/At1 in phenotype. Thus there is evidence for only a slight dosage compensation for At1. RK1A.
