Antennae are very swollen and deformed. Aristae are abnormal. Eyes are slightly pear shaped. Wings are upheld to various degrees and are frequently incised on the inner margins. Small additional sex combs are present on the 2nd tarsal segments of the forelegs in most males. Males are late in eclosion, fertile and rather inviable. Females are sterile. Eye colour: browner than normal. Body colour: slightly more melanised than normal.

Antennae swollen and deformed; aristae abnormal; eyes slightly rough, pear shaped, and browner than normal; wings often upheld and frequently incised on the inner margins; small extra sex combs on second tarsal segments of forelegs of most males. Male emerges late. Body colour: dark. RK2.
