Wings are smaller than normal, are frequently divergent or slightly upheld and the margin is occasionally incised. Extra venation is seen, especially at the junctions between longitudinal and costal veins, giving delta-like formations. In extreme cases the wing is grossly deformed and blistered. Excess melanisation is seen throughout the fly. Eyes are darker than normal, small and slightly rough. Total body size is reduced.
