Semilethal: viability at 18oC and 25oC is 25%, at 29oC 0--2%. Flightless.
Flying and jumping ability poor or absent; mutants tend to be generally inactive, including poor courtship; both alleles lead to stress-sensitive paralysis and are temperature-sensitive, in that rearing at 29oC leads to severe weakness and early death. Temperature sensitive throughout most of development. ERG normal (Homyk and Pye, 1989).
