Homozygous females are sterile, and lay fewer than 1% as many eggs as wild-type. The endochorion has moderate defects, and the respiratory appendages are essentially normal.
Homozygous females lay few or no eggs and show defects in oogenesis during choriogenesis. Follicles of homozygous females have major defects in the endochorion (which are uniformly distributed) but the respiratory appendages are normal.
