28bp deletion of genomic sequences 1216-1243, only the first 80 amino acids are present followed by 15 new amino acids.
28-bp deletion.
28bp deletion in the kinase domain. Class II fu allele, affects the carboxy domain of the protein by changing the open reading frame in the 5' region.
30bp deletion within putative kinase domain.
28bp deletion
Flies show fusion of longitudinal wing veins 3 and 4 and narrowing of the L3-L4 intervein region.
strong wing phenotype - veins L3 and L4 fused all along length; strong viability phenotype - ratio of the number of fused flies to wild type in fu/+ X fu/Y is 0.25-0.5; intermediate fecundity phenotype - ratio of eggs laid by fu/fu versus fu/+ sisters is 0.25-0.5; strong maternal effect on segmentation - percent of embryos with all segments entirely duplicated is 70-100%.
fu54 is a suppressor of wing cell phenotype of Scer\GAL471B, smoΔFU.UAS
Su(fu)LP, fu54 has wing blade anterior compartment phenotype
Su(fu)LP, fu54 has leg anterior compartment phenotype
Su(fu)LP, fu54 has haltere anterior compartment phenotype
When in combination with Su(fu)LP or cos3 heterozygotes individuals die as pupae. Adult escapers display wings, halteres and legs that have duplication of structures in the anterior compartment and shortening along the proximal-distal axis. Embryos derived from heterozygotes with Su(fu) mutants display a segment polarity phenotype: thoracic denticle belts are absent, last two rows of abdominal denticle belts are absent and a mirror image duplication of anterior rows of abdominal denticle belts.
fu54 is partially rescued by fuUAS.Tag:Palm(hGAP43),CFP/Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096
fu54 is partially rescued by Scer\GAL471B/fuUAS.Tag:Palm(hGAP43),CFP
Expression of fuScer\UAS.T:Hsap\Myr2,T:Avic\GFP-CFP under the control of either Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 or Scer\GAL471B rescues the reduction in the L3-L4 intervein region that is seen in fu54 flies, although the rescued wings show some wing vein abnormalities.
Class II mutation based on interaction with Su(fu)LP, suppression of embryonic and adult phenotype but display an additional phenotype.
