Variable phenotype. Extreme expression; grossly deformed head and eyes and antennae that are either enlarged or have duplicated parts, sometimes with an extra antennal base near the eye. Wings rounder tipped than normal with incised inner margins. Macrochaetae occasionally absent or reduced in length. Minimal expression; slightly altered eye shape, blunter than normal wing tips. Males are viable and very infertile, females are sterile.
