65-75% of the hemizygous or homozygous lethality of Catsup12 occurs between the late embryonic period and the second larval instar, while approximately 12-17% of the lethality occurs during the third larval instar stage. Lethality also occurs during pupariation. Catecholamine pool levels are abnormal in homozygous embryos.
