adult thorax & adult cuticle
Some hemizygotes raised at 25oC die as pharate adults with almost no differentiated cuticle, while others eclose, producing adults with abnormal thoracic cuticles. The wings of these flies are usually incompletely inflated. Some hemizygous adults appear normal except they are darker than wild-type and have thin, weak Minute-like thoracic and scutellar bristles.
temperature-sensitive Body colour: darker than wild-type as hemizygote.
