The axonemal sheath is normal in hemizygous males. Mitochondrial derivatives are associated with cytoplasmic membranes and paracrystalline formation is induced at more than one position. Some axonemes are associated with two major mitochondrial derivatives, some are associated with no major derivative. Mitochondrial derivatives frequently do not associate with an axoneme in late stage cysts. Some stage 11 sperm are seen, but the hexagonal arrangement of spermatids associated with normal development is not seen. Sperm do not complete the process of coiling, and are not found in the seminal vesicle.
