Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

mus306D1 mutants have a similar frequency of single-strand annealing repair (SSA) compared to controls in a P{wIw.FRT} hemizygous assay to study DNA double-stranded break repair when assayed at 32oC, but show a reduced SSA frequency compared to controls when assayed at 38oC.

Excision repair capacity and post-replication repair capacity are normal.

A partial deficiency in the excision repair of pyrimidine dimers originally observed in this mutant is now attributed to the presence of a secondary phr mutation, phrmus306-D1.

Larval survival is sensitive to methyl methanesulfonate.

Flies are not sensitive to X rays.

Larval survival sensitive to exposure to methyl methanesulfonate. Displays hypermutability to alkylating agents; defective both in alkylation and UV excision repair pathways.

Homozygotes fertile. Partially excision repair deficient.

Sensitive to 0.075% methyl methanesulfonate. Not sensitive to 0.008% HN2.
