Flies have an abruptex phenotype. Nfa-l2/NAx-J14 is viable, with the surviving females showing a strong abruptex phenotype as well as rough eyes. Male lethality is covered by Dp(1;2)51b or Dp(1;2)w-ec, and the surviving males show the abruptex phenotype. When lethality is covered by Dp(1;2;Y)w+, the surviving males have normal wing venation, but lack ocellar bristles.
