      Deep pseudopupil score of 4 at 18oC, but lacks mutant phenotype at 29oC. At permissive temperature ninaE Rh1 product is normal (even though ninaA levels are reduced to 5-10% of wild type) but at restrictive temperatures the Rh1 levels drop dramatically.

      This particular substitution was isolated independently four times. An analogous amino acid replacement has been generated in a rat homologue: the resulting protein is temperature sensitive for prolyl cis/trans isomerase activity.
